May 16 Hands on: Wii ImpressionsWell, I finally got my hands on the Wii last friday. Allthough, I had to pull some strings to get into the booth without waiting four hours. I got to play two different games: Wario Ware and Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkachi 2.
Wario Ware
The Wario game was just like all the others... Quick 5 second games that you can't seem to break yourself away from. Now, in the Wii adaptation of this game you are instructed to hold the controller a specific way and perform a certain action in order to complete the level. In the DS and Cube versions, it was a simple step of pushing buttions or moving the ds stylus. Warioware, if played continuously, seems that it would be a good exercise from doing squats, blanacing a "broom", and even slicing a barrel in half. This game is a great party game and will keep people entertained for hours.
Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkachi 2
The new DBZ game was pretty entertaining. The controls were mixed between buttion combonations, simple controller motion for punching, and specific hand motions to control your special abilities. One in particular was the good ol "kame hame ha." If you're familiar with the DBZ series you see that when Goku and others perform this move, their hands move a specific way. Well, on the Wii, you have to move your hands the same way! While it takes some time to get used to the controls, so far, this game is looking to be very promising!
Sorry all... I couldn't get my hands on any of the popular Nintendo series games, but I do have video and I'll be posting it all tonight.
--Kusinagi May 09 First Look: Metroid Prime 3 Corruption![]() Next to Zelda, this was one of the games we were most excited to see at E3 and we can’t wait to get our hands on it! For now we’re stuck with video footage and pictures from Nintendo’s press information (tomorrow we’ll play.) The overall story for Metroid Prime 3 takes place at the Galactic Federation’s Sector Zero where, but of course, Space Pirates decide to attack and Samus has to step in to restart the base’s defense system.
